Meet Julie Bwire: The inspiring ambassador of soybean in Tanzania

Julie Bwire is a mother of three and a farmer at Msufini village in Mvomero District, Morogoro Region, eastern Tanzania. She dropped out of school in the late 1980s and until 2015 was engaged in petty trading as well as farming; mostly maize and vegetables.

Inspector General of Police visits IITA

On 16 November, the Assistant Inspector General of Police Agboola Oshodi-Glover along with other officers from Zone XI Command Headquarters, Oshogbo, visited IITA to familiarize themselves with the Institute and reaffirm their efforts towards ensuring a safe and habitable environment.

AfDB conducts end-SARD-SC project supervision mission

The African Development Bank was in IITA, Ibadan, Nigeria, on 2–3 November for a 2-day end-of-project Supervision Mission on the Support to Agricultural Research for Development of Strategic crops (SARD-SC) project.
