IITA joins efforts to secure Africa’s rise through Agriculture Transformation at the 2016 AGRF

Representatives from IITA joined the over 1,500 dignitaries from 40 countries gathered at the 6th Africa Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) held 9–12 September in Nairobi, Kenya, to brainstorm on how to achieve economic development in Africa through transformation of the agriculture sector.

Aflasafe commercialization team holds workshop at IITA-Ibadan

Training agricultural researchers to be more gender-responsive

Peter Kulakow, IITA breeder and Elizabeth Parkes, HarvestPlus breeder are part of a 16-person training panel for 11 teams of 33 researchers from four continents participating in a training on “Gender Responsive Root, Tuber, and Banana Breeding,” 12-21 September in Kampala, Uganda.

Celebrating achievements in the IITA Year of Open Access

The Institute has made significant progress towards ensuring compliance to the decision by management to adopt Open Access, thereby making available its work to the public for free. As a direct outcome of implementing Open Access, a new institutional repository was introduced called CG Space.
