Stakeholders in Tanzania plan cassava transformation to support agriculture-led socioeconomic development

The Cassava Compact of the Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT) led by IITA and funded by the Africa Development Bank (AfDB) has initiated activities in Tanzania, with a three-day national stakeholders’ workshop.

An Africa-wide initiative of the African Development Bank (AfDB), in partnership with IITA to mobilize regional efforts to stop the spread of fall armyworm (FAW)—an invasive pest threatening food supply and incomes of millions of African smallholder farmers—has been launched in East Africa.

IITA and AfDB to help Taraba transform cassava as part of TAAT framework

IITA says it plans to work closely with the Taraba State Government to transform cassava in the framework of the African Development Bank (AfDB) funded Technologies for African Agriculture Transformation (TAAT) program.
